PERLA – gray ceramic floor lamp

We introduced the first PERLA lamps in March 2010. We started with three color versions of small bedrom lamps with cylindrical ceramic base and one ceramic ball. The choice of the colors was so successful that after six years, these lamps are still popular among our customers.
After three years the high floor lamps made of ceramic spheres appeared in our delivery programm. At the very beginning they consisted of six balls but finally upon the suggestions of the designers cooperating with us, specializing in industrial design, we created the floor lamp composed of 9 slightly smaller balls of appropriately selected proportions.

We took care of the practical aspects by choosing the solid wooden base for this lamp instead of ceramic one. Heavy wooden block painted into the same color as the glazed spheres significantly lowered the center of gravity of the whole lamp, improving in excellent way its stability. The wooden base also adds the resistance to the lamp in accidental confrontation with a plastic brush of the vacuum cleaner.
The first introduced 9-ball lamp was in white snow or pearl color, hence its name PERLA.
An important element of this floor lamp is the bulb holder and in particular its method of attachment. The innovative solution comes down to the use of the spherical hinge. It allows you to tilt the shade in a relatively large range, directing the light in a desired direction or allows you to set the lampshade in a perfectly horizontal position which is not achievable with conventional bulb holders.
At the same time we introduced the lamps in black and brown versions, and it is not the common brown, but brown iridescent one. This noble glaze behaves somewhat like a mirror reflecting light, and objects from the nearest surrounding. For example, if the lamp stands close to the orange wall, just this color can be seen when staring at the ceramic balls of the lamp.
The controversial element of PERLA IX floor lamp was the lampshade – precisely its shape. The original version had the conical shade, but some customers ask for cylindrical one. We do not discuss about the tastes and therefore we supply PERLA IX lamps both with conical and cylindrical shades.
During Home Decor fair in February 2015 we introduced Perla IX lamp in cappuccino color, which immediately met itself with very positive response, because it fits perfectly to many interiors decorated in beige and brown colors.
The latest color of Perla IX lamp is the gray one. We are still experimenting with the color of the lamp shade but it seems the best one will be the gray shade with a touch of silver. Have a look at all the versions of PERLA lamps in our online store http://a-z-decor.pl
