CLASSIC FLOWERS – Nature’s delicacy

The Thai brand CLASSIC FLOWERS was established in 1982. Now it is one of leading artificial flower manufacturers, exporting its products worldwide. A-Z Decor represents the brand in Poland since Autumn 2009.

Our market is full of plastic artificial flowers, mainly made from polyester screen printed fabrics, where petals and leaves, cut in million pieces, undergo impregnation. Such elements are assembled on the plastic coated wires.

Most of the people do not realize that the artificial flowers are made in Thailand for over 100 years in radically different method, using eco-friendly raw materials. The starting one is a special kind of  water plant, called Solar Plant, which looks like a long pole. It grows in wet, tropical climate. When it reaches 1-2 meters it is being cut by the harvesters moving on tiny boats. Then it dries a few days in the sun until it becomes slightly brown. Using very sharp knives the skilled workers cut the poles to the short pieces and then by rotary cutting obtain the strips which remind our veneer. So prepared raw material is the basic one for cutting the petals of the flowers. These are joined together and form finished flower heads. They may still be subjected to dyeing or left in a natural light beige color. Thus prepared flower heads, are mounted on the stems using a hand wrapped method.

We have to point out that each flower is the result of the work of experienced workers who passionately create these unique products. The knowledge of making artificial flowers from solar plants have been preserved and handed down from generation to generation
